Give it time
Water in the grille can take hours to evaporate. Leave it to air dry, speaker side down.
Try a low tone
Playing a low-frequency tone at moderate volume can help push out droplets.
Check for debris
Lint or dirt in the grille can also muffle sound. A soft, dry, clean brush can help. Don't use sharp objects.
